The commune comprises some 15 villages and hamlets. Basse-Nendaz is the administrative and parish capital.
Close to Sion, the commune of Nendaz lies in the middle of the Rhône valley, on the left bank. Its vast territory of 8,593 hectares has several unique features: it follows the contours of the valley of the same name and stretches from the fertile plain to the eternal snows.
Nearly a quarter of the land is forested. It plays a notoriously protective role, guarding against the devastation of erosion and avalanches. The valley is bisected by the Printse, a tumultuous river that is both the source and outlet of a multitude of irrigation channels.
Nendaz is crowned with magnificent peaks, such as the Rosablanche, which at 3336 metres is the most beautiful alpine viewpoint in central Valais, or the Mont-Fort (3330 metres), now accessible to all thanks to the ski lifts.

Easily accessible via the local road, you won't need to clear snow all winter long, except for your parking spaces.

Shops are just a 5-minute walk from the chalet. Ideal for car-free vacations.

By plane: to Sion or Geneva airport (1h40)

410 km of pistes and 89 lifts in a single package: the 4 Vallées ski area flirts with the infinite. Its countless possibilities, as well as the quality of its snow cover and sunshine, make it an exceptional site in more ways than one!
With the Mont-Fort glacier (3,330 m) as its highest peak, this ski area is a delight for both experts and novices alike. Open from November to the end of April, it links the resorts of Verbier, La Tzoumaz and Bruson, as well as Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon.

The resort of Nendaz is constantly evolving to meet the expectations of its many tourists. The latest innovation is the "nec plus ultra" in alpine construction. It has completely revolutionized the resort's social life.
This is the illustrious "MER DE GLACE" complex, designed to offer elegant, luxurious apartments in a mountain architectural style (slate roofs, stone walls, old wood facades). In summer, come and discover Nendaz with its bisses, which allow you to walk flat from Haute-Nendaz to Planchouet or Siviez and as far as Vex or Saxon.
The Nendard market is the ideal place for all Nendaz residents to meet the locals.
In summer, the Festival des Corps des Alpes is one of the most beautiful events of the summer, taking place either at Tracouet or at the Centre Sportif de Nendaz.
Nendaz also boasts completely refurbished tennis courts, a climbing wall with several new lanes, a beach volleyball court, a soccer and baskettball cage, a large green field where children can run around in the center of the resort, a slake-line and a bisse that crosses the Ecluses plain.

The vast choice of ski slopes, over 400 km in total, enables beginners and experienced skiers to have fun on the snowy slopes. During the summer, this resort is really popular with a lot of bikers and hikers.
Nendaz benefit of a unique network of irrigation channels (6 of 8 are still with water).
The trails along the irrigation channel are gently sloping, shaded and without motorized traffic.
In July, Nendaz becomes capital of the alphorn, thanks to its festival.
